Welcome to our new blog

Welcome to our new site. We hope you enjoy traveling with us. Our next adventure was originally planned for 2020 when COVID cancelled our trip. The main goal of this trip is to visit Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands where Jim’s dad served during WWII. Our adventure begins when we leave Chicago on July 18th and fly to Sydney, Australia. After a few days there we board the Indian Pacific train for a 4 day journey to Perth. From there we’ll fly to Brisbane to meet up with the WWII Museum tour to Guadalcanal. The tour there is about a week and then we fly back to Brisbane where our Australian friends, Carol and Greg will meet us. They’re planning things for us to see and do with them in Australia for 6 days. Our last stop will be the 4 of us flying to Fiji for 9 days of fun, sun and relaxation! We’re excited to start our journey and share our adventures with you!
